| Through colors and numbers, shapes and words, WinterDryad has been committed to exploring the underlying beauty of related environments. Looking for answers behind countless doors, giving voice to unheard ideas, and sewing the fibers of dissimilar matters, we have traveled through time and experiences. Treasuring this knowledge, we lingered in the most diverse fields, giving expression to research, lessons, designs and mentorship. Our research and projects developed across different areas of interest, including theoretical investigation, technical experimentation, and visual exploration. Current research: Generating Random Hypergraphs over Hyperedge Replacement Grammars (Full Article) Authors: F. Vastarini, D. PlumpStatus: in submission. Short summary: This work presents a method for generating hypergraphs uniformly at random using context-free hyperedge replacement grammars. Building on Mairson's method, the proposed approach allows users to specify domains in which hypergraphs are randomly generated. For a number of elementary hypergraph languages we demonstrate in case studies that they have a non-ambiguous grammar and thus admit uniform sampling. Furthermore, by representing strings as hypergraphs, our method can mitigate the non-ambiguity limitation for context-free string grammars, enabling uniform string sampling from a broader range of languages.
